Visit the official support Discord server and get help or just chat with others who use Bot Commander.

Why?

Some different manufacturer's flavors of Android can be really strict with how they manage battery and lifetime of apps. This could cause your bot to be not responsive once you exit the application. Usually this can be solved by disabling battery optimizations, although there could be more to stop your OS from killing your apps. To find out if you need to do more it is a good idea to do research on Google searching how to stop apps from being killed on your specific device.

How?

Visit this website and select your device maker. From there look at the "solution for users" section on how to stop the app from being killed.

Exporting

You can export a command by pressing the "Export" button when you have a command selected in the command list. This will copy a JSON string to your clipboard that contains all the information about your command.

Importing

To import a command, go to the add new command area. From here, you'll select the "Import" command type and paste in your JSON string from exporting.

Why?

Some newer changes to the Discord API require you to enable certain intents to recieve certain actions on your bot. Some actions like member join and member leave won't work without a certain intent enabled on the Discord developer site.

If you don't want to bother with this you can go into the settings on Bot Commander and check "Disable Server Member Intent" and you will not need to enable it for your bot. The downside of doing this will make it so Member Join, Leave, and Ban command won't function.

How?

Go to your bot on the Discord developer site and scroll down to Privaleged Gateway Intents. Enable the Server Members Intent. This will allow your bot to be hosted on the app.

• The import / export system has been overhauled. The old one was quite obtuse and hard to use, so it has been replaced with a simpler and easier to use system. When in the command list, you can click the export button on a command and it will copy to your clipboard. To import, you go to the add command menu and set the type to import, and paste in the command you wish to import.
• Various new keywords have been added related to time and members. These include some keywords such as $hour, $memberTimeJoined, $memberHasBoosted, and more.
• The UI has been updated to Material 3. In general this gives the app a new and more modern look. A new addition included with this for users with devices which support it is Dynamic Color. With Dynamic Color, the app's UI will match that of the pallete of your device.
• Ads have been completely removed from the app. You will no longer see ads in the help section.
• Fixed a bug where if you entered and tried to sign in with an incorrect token, the app would crash.
• Fixed a bug where some keywords were not showing up in the keyword searcher.

• Wildcard keyword. * in the command field will mean anything will trigger the command.
• Reaction add command type. This type is triggered by someone adding a reaction to a message. For custom emojis in the reaction add type you will use the name of the emoji (eg. your emote is named WeirdChamp, you would then put WeirdChamp), and regular emojis will just use the emoji 😊 in the command field.
